Top Taco, New Orleans’ beloved annual celebration of tacos and tequila will not take place in 2025. Due to ongoing market conditions and a significant shift in industry sponsorship priorities, event organizers have made the difficult decision to pause the event for one year.

In mid-2024, many major liquor brands significantly reduced or eliminated their local marketing budgets, which left event producers increasingly reliant on ticket sales to maintain the high standards Top Taco is known for. Unfortunately, 2025 has shown more of the same, with large brands concentrating their limited budgets on marquee events such as the Super Bowl, Mardi Gras, and Jazz Fest.

“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past eight years,” added Finkelstein. “Beyond creating unforgettable experiences for food and drink lovers, we’ve raised more than $300,000 for local children’s charities including One Heart NOLA and The PLEASE Foundation.”

Yeah You Right Events hopes to bring back both Food Fight and Top Taco in 2026 and looks forward to continuing its mission of celebrating the best of New Orleans’ food, beverage, and hospitality industries.
